Grace in times of need

Grace for the journey

Isn’t it amazing how God orchestrates things in and around us? He is constantly about showing us his great grace in all of its dimensions and facets. I know I’ll still be discovering the depths of His love throughout eternity.
Today I’d like to share with you something my BFF (Holy Spirit) passed on to me recently. It has to do with …. what else…. GRACE.

I had always assumed that His grace accompanied the wonderful truths and revelations I was receiving from the Lord. In other words, as the revelation grew, grace grew right along with it. But I believe He changed my thinking about that recently. When God reveals the truth to you when His Word opens up a fresh revelation of who He is or of who you are In Him, it is, in fact, a revelation coming from the depths of His grace. It is not something separate from grace; it is a dimension or an aspect of His grace.

Sort of like a limitless well; every time you dip into it, you discover a new and wonderful aspect of Jesus or a fresh revelation of His Word. Whatever you see, it originated in His grace.

Ephesians 3: 16-21 (MSG) “My response is to get down on my knees before the Father, this magnificent Father who parcels out all heaven and earth. I ask Him to strengthen you by His Spirit –not a brute strength but a glorious inner strength – that Christ will live in you as you open the door and invite Him in. And I ask Him that with both feet planted firmly on love, you can take in the extravagant dimensions of Christ’s love with all Christians. Reach out and experience the breadth! Test its length! Plumb the depths! Rise to the heights! Live full lives, full in the fullness of God.”

For those of you who have embraced this amazing grace, it is so much more than we realize. Every experience with God is because of His grace. Every new understanding comes from His grace. It is inexhaustible, limitless, and knows no boundaries. We must live in His grace's inexhaustible, limitless, forever-ongoing realm.

We have often heard this definition of grace; grace is God’s undeserved favour. As wonderful as that sounds, it is not the entire truth. I would say that undeserved favour describes mercy. Grace, on the other hand, is strength. It is power. It is the actual and very real fuel for our lives. Grace is the fullness of power freely offered to us through the blood of Jesus. It is given to us personally by the Holy Spirit to become the person God sees us to be. Grace eliminates all of our efforts and instead hands us everything needed to live on this planet as citizens of another realm. To live exactly as Jesus lived.

We are a habitation of heaven’s reality, and when we recognize our true identity in Christ, we can bring that reality into everyday situations, just like Jesus did.

I am often puzzled by believers who don’t believe. Fear has gripped their minds, and embracing something so heavenly seems impossible. If we operated in our efforts, they would be absolutely correct. We have, however, an offer from our Father to receive Him in His fullness. He desires to show us the “extravagant dimensions of Christ’s love. To experience the breadth, to test its length, to plumb its depths, to rise to its heights….to live in the fullness of God.

Is this possible? Ask Him for yourself. You will find, as I have, that grace isn’t the beginning point; it’s the entire point.

Our Sunday service starts at 11:00 a.m. and typically lasts about 90 minutes.

We start each service with lively worship with songs from around the world, followed by inspired Bible-based teaching. All our sermons are recorded and are available as a podcast after the service.

We have a monthly cycle of Sunday services, with our Communion Service being on the first Sunday of each month and an All-Age All-Nation Service on the second Sunday of each month. Our other Sunday services include Spirit-focused and teaching services.

We have consciously adopted being a blended church that is both for those online and face-to-face. You are welcome to join us on Livestream or via Facebook, Linkedin, YouTube, or X (Twitter), or you can catch up and watch the recordings later.
